The physical benefits of yoga are increased flexibility, muscle strength and tone. Improved respiration, energy and vitality. A balanced metabolism and good posture.
Yoga calms and centres the nervous system, sharpens attention and concentration, and increases body awareness and relieves stress. A regular practice can improve conditions such as anxiety and insomnia.
Yoga is about learning to come back to yourself. It’s about expanding your boundaries, finding your limits and being able to truly relax and be yourself. It’s about taking time to remember who you are but have forgotten while being caught up in the whirlwind of a fast-paced life.
Jill has been teaching yoga in Alphington for 12 years. The style is a balance of flowing Hatha sequences, deeper restorative postures and relaxation. All levels are welcome including beginners as the postures can be adapted to suit varying abilities.
£8.00 per class if paid per half term or £10.00 drop in.

Regular full day (including lunch) and half day workshops are held throughout the year. These are a great way of devoting some precious time to yourself and your own yoga practice. A yoga workshop gives you freedom and time to receive fuller instruction and increase your knowledge. Attending a workshop is an opportunity to motivate yourself, interact with like-minded people and have fun. Contact Jill to register your interest for the next workshop.
Treat yourself, friends and family to a special Pamper Day with a morning of yoga, a home cooked vegetarian lunch and a complementary therapy to follow. Afterwards take time relaxing in the hot tub and steam room; enjoying the gardens and Dartmoor views. A delightful setting; a 16th century farmhouse set in 3 acres in the midst of the Devon countryside, on the edge of Dartmoor and just 20 minutes from Exeter. For more info Click here

‘You gave me the gift of the yoga habit years ago, through your patience, good teaching style and humour, which has helped me to maintain my flexibility while aiding my walking and running posture with the added bonus of feeling young(er)! I don’t think I can ever say thank you enough.’
