Jill has been practicing yoga for over forty years.
She is a member of The British Wheel of Yoga and a qualified BWY teacher.
She teaches holistically, using movement, breath and awareness to bring about benefits for the body and mind: the combined physical, psychological and spiritual aspects of the individual.
Jill is a qualified beauty, massage therapist and counsellor.
She worked at Champneys Spa in Henlow, Bedfordshire for several years. Following that she trained and worked as a mental health nurse practitioner.
Jill has practised yoga regularly most of her life. She has been teaching for twelve years.
The British Wheel of Yoga teaching diploma course takes between two and four years to complete and covers teaching yoga asanas, breath work and meditation in depth.
Anatomy, philosophy and the history of yoga are also part of the course. It is the largest yoga organisation in the UK and is Sport England’s recognised national governing body for yoga.
Jill is experienced in teaching several styles of yoga but mostly enjoys teaching hatha yoga flow, nourishing restorative postures and deep relaxation.
She teaches yoga classes in the community. The practice is very versatile and can be adapted to suit all ages and abilities, beginners are very welcome.
