Jill has been practicing yoga for forty plus years. She is a member of The British Wheel of Yoga and a qualified BWY teacher.
The BWY Teacher Training Diploma is a very comprehensive course which takes between 2 to 4 years to complete and covers anatomy / physiology, yoga philosophy and many other aspects of yoga in great detail.
Jill is also a qualified mindfulness meditation teacher. In addition to being a yoga teacher Jill is a beauty and massage therapist.
She worked at Champneys Spa in Henlow, Beds for several years. Following that she trained and worked as a mental health nurse practitioner and a counsellor.
Jill has experience in teaching several styles of yoga but mostly enjoys teaching hatha yoga flow.
She has recently qualified to teach yin yoga, a very deeply nourishing, strengthening and restorative style of yoga.
She is starting to introduce this into her classes and workshops. She finds yin yoga effectively balances and compliments hatha yoga flow.
Yoga practice is very versatile and can be adapted to suit all ages and abilities, beginners are very welcome.
